Zen and I went out for her morning constitutional around 7am this morning. At first neither of us noticed anything unusual on the gray damp morning. Then I noticed one of the Great Egrets was in the field, not in the creek looking for food. It didn’t register. Back inside, while making breakfast, I absent mindedly looked out the window. Then it struck me, the creek was in places I had not seen it before.

The weather service says we may see some coastal flooding with this evening’s high tide. Neither house appears to be at risk of getting wet. It will be interesting to see if it is more than this morning.
