New England does have the best foliage
I took a quick road trip to the North East (USA) this past weekend. It was too many miles and too little time but the friends, the food, and the foliage made it worth the effort. I ended up taking the “Parkway Grand Prix” route up through New York and Connecticut. This is the narrow, windy and sometimes fast run along Route 15 starting at the Hutchinson River Parkway, the Merritt Parkway, and the Wilbur Cross or Cross County Parkway. It definitely replaces the extra espresso in getting your blood flowing and heart racing ! The scenery was spectacular and reminded me that New England does have some of if not the best foliage. Unfortunately, it is a bite like the calm before the storm because fall foliage is the precursor to the New England Winters. I don’t miss those !
