If you are curious as to what bamboo cabinets might look like, you could use the Google image search but that vast majority of what you will find are very stark very modern design – perfectly flat and no character. That would be very easy to build but not my style. So, I used GIMP and learned a bit more about layer masks and alpha channels and made rendering of the cabinet fronts. The colors are just a bit off but given the variances in bamboo color, the results are as accurate as anything I would produce in real life.

Here is the results – all natural, all carbonized, and two tone. Below the image you will find the process I used.
