What’s It #19 – a quilter’s ruler holder

It turns out one ruler is not enough for a quilter. They have their 24×8 ruler, their 4″ square, 3″ square, 6″ square, their 45, their 60/30, their strait cutter, their guide, and more.

To organize all of these, they need a ruler block. It’s much like a knife block. It has a series of slots to hold rulers upright and has a non-skid backing to keep it from wandering off the sewing table.

This one is manufactured from recycled red oak pallet skids.

Of COURSE it is! Now that you have given me the item name my brain immediately found the full memory file – on Nov 14, 2009 I took a knitting class at a quilt store and sat next to a fully loaded one of these. Oh dear. Old age is not going to be fun for me. Or maybe I am just wordsy not imagey. Let’s hope.

I need a wall mounted version of this ruler holder. Maybe slanted slots like a wall magazine rack.

I’ve been a little pre-occupied installing an APRS, locating a stealthy but very much dead fuse, and adding a roll servo. But ” yes” a pretty good idea.
