The angel is a devil

IMG_4297-web Things were going so well and then *this* happened …

I spent the morning knocking off little farmhouse projects and chores and then Zen and I went for a long walk across the Walker farm. For the non-locals, the walker farm is the name given the the land that the farmhouse sits on but this land is just a part of the original Walker farm so there are actually multiple deeds that carry the name "Walter Farm" and include three adjacent parcels. Tomatoes grow on one side of us and corn on the other and soybeans are smack dab in the middle. The tomato farm has the only accessible portion of the irrigation pond (for now). As part of our walk, I found a clean entry to the pond and Zen did some water retrieve. All was good.

We came back and I dried Zen off and I figured she take a nap while I did a couple more little projects. Zen had other plans and it seems she had been eyeing the new oversized sponge in the wetroom. Her only explanation for her actions was, "the devil made me do it". … yeah, likely story.

So sad for the sponge …

BUT, more importantly — LOVE the compass rose in the floor! I won’t even ask if it’s accurately oriented – I know better with you. ;-)
