I found out very late in the game that the site around the building needed to be graded and the driveway improved prior to being awarded my occupancy. I did a bit of scrambling and was lucky to get my excavation contractor between jobs. He arrived early this week and in a day an a half hauled in enough fill and recycled concrete to turn my moonscape of a site into a passable yard and driveway.

Eventually, the area in front of the building as well as the area in back and side will be grass. The ramp off of the hangar door side will also be grass. The Eastern Shore is entering a bad time for planting grass so I’ll do a few patches to see if it will take but most likely the grass will wait until early September.
