No flash photography
I have not had much to write about the farmhouse project because things are not progressing well. I?ll leave it at that for now. But, to keep myself blogging, here is a story from ? OMG ? 10 years ago !
I was attending a technology conference in Florida and at the end of the conference, a group of us got together to go see a Cirque du Soleil performance. I had a small Canon Digital Elf camera at the time. It was in my pocket when we attended the performance. I read the back of the ticket and the program and both clearly state; ?NO FLASH PHOTOGRAPHY?. I had some experience with timed exposures so I thought I?d see what I got. I managed 6 or 8 shots over the course of the first 10 minutes before an usher approached and said, if you continue to take pictures, I?ll have to confiscate the camera. Under usually circumstances, I would have ?spoken? to the usher. But I was with a group and decided the better option was to comply. Personally, I was thinking (very loudly in my head) ? ??If you do not allow *any* photography, just say that rather than restrict it to *flash* photography.
The good news is that, of the few pictures I did take, I had setup the camera correctly and had some very compelling shots <sigh>.

Glen!! You’re back!
I’ve been aggravated as well at some venues when they are ambiguous about the photography rules…
That’s a *really* nice image.
(sorry to hear that the construction has hit a rough patch..)
Take care.
I understand the rules. I don’t understand why they write one rule when they mean (or enforce) another.
Hey…. I think I was with you?! I remember!
Hugs,
Libby
Hey Libby – yes, you were there for my moment of castigation.
