I know I will anger the gods …
This post will tempt fate, anger the gods of weather, and spawn the wrath of my friends to the north … but I’m gonna do it anyway !
Zen and I ended the day out at th picnic table watching the sun set. There were numerous clouds and a wind advisory but it was nearly 70 to make it all worth while. The bummer of course is that in mid-February, it’s dark at 6pm so there was not much time to enjoy the setting sun’s color display.
Just think, in less than a month, the clocks change and if we’re lucky enough to get another day like this, the view will last a whole hour more !



Uh oh – I can see the news headlines now…
“Earliest middle-Atlantic hurricane ever recorded bearing down on the DelMarVa Peninsula”
A funny analogy transpired over chat the other day that has a similar feel to your comment – where as a hurricane might be likened to a weapon of mass destruction, I would expect this to be more of a tactical strike capability – perhaps lightning.
Mid February blizzard hits mid Atlantic. Power out for several days. Record low temperatures. Dog food shortage blamed on impassable icy roads.
Zen had no knowledge of my editorial transgression so let’s assume no dog food shortages this time around
But doesn’t it make you reconsider that freezer? How does she feel about venison?
