Google made quick work of this “what’s it” - so much so I had to edit Roy’s nearly instantaneous post to hid the answer. You may recall I am designing the closest think to a “private commercial” kitchen as I can and still have it feel like a home. The post about the pre-rinse sprayer should have been a hint that this will not bve your usual “pro-sumer” design.

B0200LN + 069X + BWH4 * 2
valve assembly + 24″ double jointed spout + wrist paddle levers

I wanted a faucet that matched the pre-rinse unit. I liked the single hole design so that was my starting point. Next, I looked at what I did not like about the kitchen sink and faucet where I currently am renting. I also remembered my last kitchen design. The problem was the faucet did not reach over the whole sink. I was regularly using the sprayer as a faucet. The kitchen will get a 36″ wide by 18″ deep farmhouse sink. If all goes as planned, it will be an apron front sink with two bays. If I place the faucet in the middle behind the sink, I would need at least an 18″ spout and that would still leave large portions (inside and outside the arc) inaccessible - not to mention an 18″ spout is unwieldy. The solution was a 12″ + 12″ jointed faucet. The last bit was the need to quickly and easily control the faucet even with dirty hands. The solution here comes from hospital sinks that have handles that you can move with your wrists. These have an added bonus of meeting some of the ADA guidelines. When you put them all together, you get this …
I almost made this a “What’s It ?” but decided I would just spill the beans. This is Zen.

To be more precise, this is my dog, Zen. No joke. Somewhere in those wrinkles is a dog ! You see, I love the rental house we live in as far as the view, and the yard, and the property go. The house … well, not so much. It is old and shows it’s age. It is cold and drafty. Unless I hit the lottery, I keep the thermostat at 62 degrees Fahrenheit all winter long. So Zen likes to be burred under a pile of scrap fleece blankets starting in early November and prefers not to come out of hibernation until early March. For four months, this is what my little power-house looks like. It’s OK. She is [reasonably] well behaved and deserves a little comfort. Heck, next winter she may not even find the “comfy chair” with me given the heated floors she will get to spread out on !

I have been trying to figure out the tile pattern for the wetroom. I was considering tiling the entire room in soapstone but I’ve decided to hold the use of soapstone to the kitchen. I also like the look of pebbles. These come in 12″ sheets so the installation is pretty easy and the opposite edges are design to be complements which reduces the obviousness of any grid pattern from using large sheets of mosaics. I could just do the floor in a dark color to anchor it and then the walls in something lighter (given there are no windows in the bathroom, “all dark” would be like a cave). But, I wanted some form of accent so I thought about a abstract “water fall” tiled right into the room. By using a third color, I can integrate a tile pattern, starting at the shower head and “flowing” to the shower drain.

To visualize the various tile patterns, I created the diorama. The photo was an early attempt and the “pebbles” are much too large but it conveyed the idea pretty well. I left the wall with the door open to make it easier to look at and to photograph.

If you bored, feel free to print out the flat sheet (click for a larger image) and cut out the diorama.
