Archive for the 'PHP' Category
My Tag cloud implementation started from the Matt’s weighted-categories implementation on hitormiss. It was working fine but I needed two things (yeah, just 2)

WordPress 2.1 support
I only needed to change one line to make the hover text include the category name (for cases where my font size was tiny). [...]

I fell out of the software developer track for a number of years. I was a strong (although not the best) C language developer and had some C++ talent but I shifted gears when Java took off at my company. Since that time, I have done mostly scripting based hacks and small tools as “brain [...]

I was reading Stephen O’Grady’s blog and started link hopping. My jumping off point was the announcement of IBM supporting MySQL. Then I trolled around where I found IBM’s growing support for PHP through Zend Core. I had read previously about WebSphere support for PHP.
I’ve confessed previously that I skipped the Java development tract in [...]

I’ve had some less than pleasant experiences over the past week with my web site. First my blog got temporarily trashed by a service error on the MySQL instance on the server. I tried their email support but that didn’t get a response in a reasonable amount of time so I decided to hang on [...]

A few days ago, I announced I’d be trying to update my blog logo to reflect events, holidays, etc. Thus far, the idea is working (at least for me). The problem is one of timing. I got the St. Patrick’s Day logo up (a few hours late) and took it down (many hours late). [...]
