Logo’s a goin’
I’ve been trying to figure out what to do with theSalmonFarm.org blog’s “persona”. At the same time, I’ve been trying to learn GIMP. When I combined the two, I settled on an idea - one that is not unique. “I’ll do what Google does.”
So I am starting to settle on a simple textual logo for my blog. I’m not 100% satisfied with the font but the idea has settled. My blog will have a simple textual logo and at various times (usually holidays or special occasions) I will embellish the logo. Here is the current “default” logo.

I don’t expect most people to notice because the usual suspects all use feed-readers and may never actually set eyes upon the full blog page. No worries.
Look for the first “change” on Monday !

See, this is why everyone needs a few Luddites among their friends. As a non-designer type, I’m always interested in the “look” that people are able to achieve, so I always read blogs the old fashioned way.

thanks Mary. Glad it has provided a tiny bite of ocular enjoyment. It will be gone tomorrow and I’ll need to find a useful “this day in history” site that shows me a week in advance

It looks good, Glen! Be careful or I’ll be inviting you to dinner just to get you to make one for me.

I decided there should be a place for people to find the “logo evolution” so I added a new page to the blog where you can find past “doodles”.
