Someone asked for the moon ?

I got a call this evening from “mom” …
Have you seen the moon ?! we are looking at it now and it’s amazing. Can you take a picture of it ?
So, I grabbed the nearest camera and went outside. It looked “OK” but it was still dusk so after trying a few clicks, I gave up for an hour; then I went out for another try.
My camera does not have a very long lens so I had to crop this down quite a bit. Still, it was an interesting experiment.

Thanks - A long time ago, I remember creating a better shot than the one posted here but my skills are rusty and I am less patient than I was.
The trick is to ignore what the light meter tells you and go with the aperture and shutter speed listed. You might want to bracket the aperture one full stop to either side for good measure.
As for the rest of the site, it’s a mix of computer technology, environmental issue, privacy concerns, cooking, and various woodworking and restoration projects - or put another way, it a mix of just about anything that jazzes.
