The Chesapeake is for Fishing
Pretty much everyone who lives near the Chesapeake is a fisherman. When I first started visiting the southern part of the Eastern Shore, I noticed most guys had boats and most women either joined in or tolerated it quietly. There was not much use in trying to buck the system.
I’ve done some fishing - stripers mostly - but I can’t say I’m really much of a fisherman. I like it well enough. It’s just that I have too many other things taking my time that I rarely break away.
One think I enjoy is photography, so I figured “If you can’t join them, watch them!”. So that is just what I did yesterday around dinner time - I took pictures of one of the local fisherman .. or is fisherwoman, I can tell …
