I was “blog hopping” this morning and came across another “how to” that caught my eye. It was about DIY whiteboards. I have a large (48″x60″) whiteboard in my workshop which I use for project notes. I knew I would miss it once I moved since I had decided not to pack/store/ship it. I also consoled myself that I would either not use it as much or need a different size depending on the layout of my next workshop.

To my delight, I discovered an article by Chris Metcalf (via lifehacker.com) that whiteboards are basically the same face material as cheap shower board from your local home improvement center. I am definitely building a couple of these once I get settled in the new shop (and office, and perhaps even the kitchen) !
