Virtual Desktops - part 2
As predicted, I ended up uninstalling both Deskloops and RocketDock. I’m onto a much simpler (aka more old school) solution - multiple virtual desktops. I have installed the Microsoft PowerToy, “Desktop Manager”. It is a very small extension that gives you 4 desktops. You can use a hotkey (or taskbar icon) to switch between desktops and if you can’t remember which one of the four you need, there is a quarter-screen overview.
Navigation of the virtual desktops is via a toolbar. When the Desktop Manager is first installed, the toolbar is not present. The user must right click on the taskbar, click toolbars, and then click “Desktop Manager.” This adds the toolbar with the green window “overview” and the four blue numeric icons (visible in the first screenshot at the bottom left). The second screenshot shows the quad-screen overview.
