This video was referenced over on Vowe dot net. I agree with most when I saw “I WANT ONE” !

Two things came to mind when I saw the video - the concept definitely has applications (and one would be as a rich interface to PersonalBrain) and the second thing is it reminded me of my IBM Touch Screen I had on my P70 back in 1992. (I have no idea what model # that monitor was.)

What was remarkable about that monitor was, while the screen as 1024×768x16M, it had a touch resolution of 4096×4096x256. Yes, it supported pressure sensitivity! The implementation was via sensors at each corner of the screen and then hardware in the monitor to triangulate the pressure point and the intensity.

Back to my reference to PersonalBrain - is allows a user to gather information and promote various types of interconnections between the information. The user interface displays this information and the connections, allowing the user to move any bit of information “to the center” and related information adjusts around the periphery. It has a number of similarities to the information navigation the user in the video starting at 51 seconds.
