As part of my continued advancement in my job, I needed to get fingerprinted. NO, I did not do anything wrong !

What was interesting is how little has changed or fingerprinting. With all of the electronics advancements, I still had to process a standard “ten-print” card. (the link talks about some things I never considered such as having more or less than 10 digits)

A ten-print is just like in all of the old movies. It consists of a rolled print of all 10 fingers plus a plain prints of the thumbs and 4-finger groups.

I had my card done at the local police station. I will admit, that while they do ten-print cards, they also have the latest digital scanner that ties into the national criminal database storage system.

With hope, the ink will scrub off over the next couple of days.
