To Carl Tyler (who guilted me into doing more with my iPod). I gave myself the iYiYi from Tivoli audio. It is one of the best “docking stereos” I have heard (and I heard a lot before finally taking the plunge and strangely enough, I did not like the sould of the iSongBook also made by Tivoli). It also (gulp) is one of the more expensive.

Still, it makes some amount of economic sense when you think, that before I bought it, my $300 iPod sat idle 3 out of 4 weeks a month (I use it mostly when I am on road trips).

Speaking of iPods, care should be taken when using shuffle. If you have a wide range of music interests, plus the audio book or two, and a few random audio files you never knew got sync’d, you may find Yo Yo Ma following Linkn Park and followed by Stephen Hawking explaining complexity theory.
